Kitzsteinhorn 2000 Expedition

Cracow Caving Club Expedition Kitzsteinhorn 2000 led by Andrzej Ciszewski operated in the Feichtner Schacht Cave (Salzburgian Alps, Kaprun) from 19 to 31 march. The goal was to find the enrance to the new parts of the cave on the -470 meters level. The only way to do it, was to dig in sand. At the end of the fourth relay digging, it succeeded to get to wide corridors (Cristal Gallery, King Richard Gallery). At the end of them starts vertical pits, with short corridors and dangerous fall (Nagasaki). One of them lead to the actual bottom at about -700 meters level. The expedition discovered 1400 m in lenght and "deepened" the cave over 60 meters. Exploration is not finished for sure.
